Creepy Dolls Take Over TV
In a bizarre coincidence, two TV shows used their 10 o'clock timeslot to introduce the world to some disturbing dolls.
Both The River and White Collar featured plotlines that gave some porcelain face time and reinvigorated my childhood fears of those plastic people.
Matt Bomer & Tim DeKay Tease Explosive Finale
According to Jeff Eastin, White Collar creator, the doll that Elizabeth's parents gave her actually "belonged to our co-producer. She had it as a child. It's a Keane, called 'Little Miss No Name.'" And here I thought we weren't supposed to talk about things that shall not be named?
While that one was unsettling, I think that The River took the cake when it came to toddler trauma because it not only featured one of the year's best scares -- tell me you didn't jump when that freakin' doll's head craned up to reveal a monkey face! -- but an entire tree covered in discarded dolls.
Although if that was me, I would have kicked those Cabbage Patch Kids to the curb too!
