'Brave' Shoots to the Top of the Box Office

Disney/Pixar came up with another winner at the box office over the weekend, as Brave outperformed Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter without the help of talking toys, cars or animals.

The animated film silenced the skeptics, taking in $66.7 million. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter only made a quarter of those earnings, reeling in $16.5 million for its debut, which put the movie in third place behind Madagascar 3.
The third installation of the Madagascar franchise made $20.2 million in its third week, bringing the new total to $157.5 million and counting.
