I don't even know where to begin in properly explaining how excited I am to see Pitch Perfect. Perhaps I'll start with the cast.

Anna Camp, Elizabeth Banks, John Michael Higgins, Rebel Wilson, Anna Kendrick, Freddie Stroma, Brittany Snow, Skylar Astin and Christopher Mintz-Plasse lead the cast. And what about the plot?

Pitch Perfect follows a college transfer student as she gets integrated into her new school's a cappella group only to learn there's a bitter rivalry between rival "crews" that gets fought on and off the stage -- yes, that's right, there are Freestyle. Musical. Battles. And how about the script?

Pitch Perfect was written by Kay Cannon, who served as an executive story editor and writer on 30 Rock. And that knack for lunacy is on wild display throughout this deliciously enjoyable trailer, which features elements of Glee, Bring It On, Save the Last Dance, Camp, Mean Girls and Sister Act 2.

So, yea ... I'm pretty freakin' excited -- and once watch of the trailer will have you singing Pitch Perfect's praises too!

Pitch Perfect hits theaters on October 5.
