In an interview with Oprah Winfrey for a special that encompasses the whole Kardashian clan, Kim says she feels like she's "totally growing up" and has decided to hang with older people. "Even the people I surround myself with -- a lot of my friends are the people that I love, to just sit and talk to and spend my time with -- are wiser, a little bit older than me."

Kim alludes to the fact that her shockingly short (72-day) marriage to NBA basketball player Kris Humphries -- who is several years younger -- actually helped make her more mature. "Where before I used to... all my boyfriends were younger, I always dated five years younger, my whole thing was completely different." 

She adds: "And now, I love that I'm with someone that's a couple of years older than me. I love that my friends are even sometimes 20 or 30 years older than me, that I can just sit and enjoy their company and their experiences."

The reality star also reveals an "epiphany" she had following the events of the past year. "It's like how Kourtney this epiphany when she had the baby and she changed into a different person -- I feel like I've had an epiphany over the last year for what I've been through, and I am that changed person just from my own experiences."

The Kardashian family interview will be airing on Oprah's Next Chapter in two parts -- the first this Sunday night at 8 on OWN, followed by part two the following Sunday at the same time.
