1. Matt Corby, Brother
I dare you to not sing the hook of this song over and over after one listen. Also, how cute is he?! Fun fact: Matt was on a reality talent TV show at 16 back in 2007. Two years later, he independently released his debut EP before relocating to London and signing with Communion after capturing the attention of the label's owner, Ben Lovett of Mumford and Sons. He has since released two more albums, toured with Mumford and Sons, and is about to go back out on the road with Alpine in Australia this June. Oh, did I mention this song came 3rd on this year's Triple J Hottest 100?? Watch your back, Gotye.

1. Keep Shelly In Athens, DIY
You don’t even know how hard it was to pick just one song. Welcome to my most favorite current obsession. Twenty-one-year-old Sarah P and her male musical counterpart released their debut EP, In Love With Dusk, in 2010 and quickly sold out. This song is off their upcoming EP, Our Own Dream, via Forest Family, coming to a store and/or computer near you this fall.

1. Crystal Fighters, Champion Sound
These guys are definitely one of the more interesting bands I've come across lately. Their music incorporates both electric and acoustic guitars, synths, drums, and traditional Basque instruments like the txalaparta (wooden xylophone-ish percussion instrument played by two people standing face-to-face), the danbolin (a rope-tuned snare drum), and the txistu (a Basque pipe whistle). Based out of London, Crystal Fighters formed in 2007. This song is a single off of their debut album, Star of Love, released last October.

1. Phantogram, Don't Move
Duo Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel often describe their music as "street beat, psych pop". They've been friends since middle school, but Phantogram didn't officially form until 2007. Their debut EP, released in March 2009, sparked widespread interest. Two months later, they released a second EP. Their first full-length album, Eyelid Movies, was released in 2010 and included songs off of both EPs. This song is off their latest EP, Nightlife, expected November 1.
